Dr. Alejandro Romero
Hi, I’m Dr. Alejandro Romero—it’s a pleasure to meet you! I’m Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician and Certified Cannabis Physician licensed in the state of Florida. I graduated with a B.A. in Biology from Yale University, then completed Post-Baccalaureate Studies at Harvard University, where I also taught organic chemistry. I went on to earn my M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, followed by a rigorous Emergency Medicine medical residency in Brooklyn at Maimonides Medical Center, a Level 1 Trauma Center. I’m a native Spanish speaker and have intermediate knowledge of Italian.
Also, I’m a writer, musician, and dog parent to an energetic, little Cavapoo with a mischievous habit of stealing socks.
WHAT IS THE STORY BEHIND EVERGREEN CANNABIS CLINIC?
Ever since the legalization of medical cannabis in Florida in 2014, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible benefits it provides to patients suffering from a range of conditions, from chronic pain to severe anxiety. For many of these patients, cannabis isn’t just a recreational substance—it’s an essential part of their treatment plan, often offering relief when other, more traditional options have failed.
However, despite the availability of medical cannabis, many people who could benefit from it find the process of obtaining a medical cannabis card overwhelming and bewildering. This bureaucratic barrier causes countless patients to give up on their journey to find relief before they’ve even started, and even though they desperately need it.
As an Emergency Medicine Physician, I’ve dedicated my career to alleviating suffering and improving quality of life for my patients. Witnessing the challenges faced by those in need of medical cannabis deeply moved me. I knew that I could help guide patients through the complexities of the system and provide them with the compassionate care they deserve.
And so, with that resolve, Evergreen Cannabis Clinic was born—a place where patients can find the support and resources they need to navigate the medical cannabis certification process with confidence. At Evergreen, we’re committed to making medical cannabis accessible to those who need it most, ensuring they receive the care, attention, and education that empowers them to take control of their health.
